2025 JLPT test dates have been announced! July 6 and December 7 (both Sundays).
Registration for the July test is from March 18 to April 8.
I’m still on the fence about whether I’m gonna try to do N1 in the summer or put it off til winter… anyway, if anyone else is thinking of doing JLPT this year, let’s be study buddies ahahaha

I’d offer to be a study buddy despite having little interest in the JLPT. They have some testing sites here in the US, but they’re mostly in major metro areas.
Idk do localization companies require JLPT scores? In that case maybe id take it.

For my Japanese study session tomorrow, i made a worksheet using the Sumo Banzuke (ranking) for March’s Tournament. My consistent ly attending patron is a fan of sumo, so i hope this will help him with learning hiragana.
Here’s a preview

I’m not sure if localization/translation companies require JLPT or if they just prefer them, but either way they look good on your resume (if that’s the kind of thing you care about).
Also OMG I love these sumo worksheets ahahaha, super creative and fun! I love Houshouryuu so much so anytime I see him I get very happy ahaha

I had the bright idea this morning to make those cards you use to help toddlers learn basic sentences in japanese. I forgot the silly word most folks use for them, but i think it’ll help my regular get used to basic snetence structure. We’ve been so focused on Hiragana for the past month that i havent put as much effort into teaching grammar.

I did the cards & activity for the event today. Here’s a picture that shows how it works
For adjectives/verbs i put kanji on one side and hiragana on the other, but I forgot my regular isnt super used to hiragana yet, so im thinking if redoing these with roumaji + an english definition or pictograph.
Im gonna make a google drive for this stuff so i can make these easier to share with others that would be interested in using them.
