Yeah this is how I feel.
One of the only tangible improvements I like is the ability to sign up for different feeds and pin them to your top bar. I follow one called OnlyPosts that doesnt display any RTs or QRTs, which is really handy to get a quick clean look at what people I follow / my friends are posting.

You can also just flatly turn off reposts, which is what I did because some people go fuckin’ wild with those but I want to see their actual posts. (Has the funny effect of not seeing my own reposts so I’m not 100% sure when they work.)

I still wanna give bluesky an honest shake. I avooded it cuz i figured it was just Twitter 2 (and they seemed to not even learn anything from the first time), but i would think maybe a good contingent of black twitter moved there so i wanna try it out at least.
Not to praise it too much, but cohost did make it more clear what i want out of a social media experience. If for some reason i stop using FGCN(Mastodon) then that may be the last website for me.

Pokemon Gold hitting you with the “here’s your old region from the last game! Blue is a gym leader now! Koha’s daughter runs the gym!” And "here’s red on top of a gauntlet mountain have fun getting your ass beat if you’re not prepared’ is just a moment I don’t think you can replicate now. I don’t think you can sneak something like that in a game or let it go underreported or hell, reported in only one language.

Astlibra is an insane one (positive); I remember you playing it on stream and being like “yeah, I think i’m almost done” and you get an ending and there’s almost immediately more game and it felt like you had just started playing the game for real after that.

The Odin 2 sounds almost exactly like what I’ve been looking for, except it’s a handheld and the dock is probably extra.

It is but you don’t need to use the licensed one, I got one off Amazon for like $15 for my steam deck a few years ago
hard agree on this, Naganuma has been really meh for a while. I loved his beatmania contribution from like 14 years ago now and one song he did for Hover but the stuff he did for BRC was really lackluster.

Base, anything after that is absolutely worthless you’re just blasting extra power for a system that runs everything but steambot chronicles perfectly anyways. Unless you want a choice of colors but I don’t have that kind of money lying around LMFAO

size-wise, how big is this thing?
From what I’ve seen (the Odin is a bit too rich for my blood, and I prefer the case options on the Retroid line) it’s about the size of a switch with joycons, but very slightly smaller
