This is awesome news!
Yoooo love to see a successful restoration effort.
Cyprus has outstripped all other EU member states in embracing hot-water solar systems, with an estimated 93.5 % of households exploiting the alternative energy form for domestic needs.
EU figures show the eastern Mediterranean island exceeding renewable energy targets set in the heating and cooling of buildings thanks to the widespread use of the solar thermal technology.
The solar thermal systems not only collected solar energy as heat – usually generated through electricity and the burning of fossil fuels – they were extremely cost-effective and had helped spawn an entire industry, he explains.
“It’s been great for low-income families and then there’s the jobs: so many have been generated,” the MP says. “There are the local manufacturers who produce the parts and then all the people who are trained to install them. It’s big business.”
“Installation costs may be three times higher today, but there are EU-funded grants that the government hands out and within a year it’s all paid off,” she says. “After that, you basically have free hot water and see your electricity bills greatly reduced. In a country like Cyprus, it’s a no-brainer.”
I think it’s the same with geothermal in Iceland. They’ve got so much excess energy they’re heating the sidewalks.
My mom is getting me a burber from Castle Rock today (real: if you ever come to Colorado make sure to go to Crave Real Burgers it’s unreal)
had a suuuuuper cute/nice interaction with a patient today wahhhh, shes this super adorable little old lady and i saw her coming and immediately went up front like WELL IF IT ISNT MS. (REDACTED) and she was like :0 and shocked i remembered her but she remembered me too and she was so touched by the fact I remembered her and was so excited to see her and I almost started crying bc she was like “sometimes, being old, you feel so useless” and i was like NO U BRIGHTEN MY DAY and it was just. really nice ;w;
today I hung out with an offline friend and his kid and introduced them to some places I figured they’d enjoy (they did), did a bunch of errands, had a good stream, introduced some other friends to the terrifying unreality of birds, and ate a delicious mango cream donut. these are the only events of note to occur today.
my neck has been in a pretty bad place which triggers sensory/trauma things BUT today it only aches not outright hurts, meds are on the way hopefully before the end of the day, and yesterday i was planning on lowkey crying about it on and off but ended up watching things with my friends and its a great reminder that we gotta be in community even when we feel like a burden, you know? also i had AMAZING goat curry, coco bread, and spinach patty yesterday and my gf made the corniest flirt joke to me and that always makes life wonderful!
one of my biggest weaknesses is denying myself joy when i’m feeling down, i gotta show up to the discord call even if i feel like dogshit i know for a fact it’s gonna make me feel better lmfao. workin’ on it
: I made a new friend last night and people are really excited for the campaign im running next year :D

We raised over $12k for cancer research on Sunday at the martial arts tournament which was matched by corporate donors.
This is extremely small fry (ha) but it made me smile. I found a tiny foam bluegill on the stairway at work today.
I upgraded my Power Supply today. Went off with minimal effort. :D
and now I’ve rebuilt my PC. :D I have a new keyboard too. My first mechanical keyboard!
This is a thing I’ve done I’m proud of. So back in September, right before cohost shut down, I made a personal essay about dating my partners and a little advice roundup for “my partner just found out they were a system, what do”
It’s an essay I’m still super proud of but the bit that has me kind of over-the-moon is that it was so well-received by plural folks that now it’s been uploaded to healthymultiplicity, an online community resource hub. I think that’s the most positive reception any piece of personal writing has ever gotten.
as a plural, this makes me happy. Can I see this article?
Here you go!
thanks. I have an atypical form of plurality(basically, it’s just me and what I only can describe as a destructive force of nature who hates me but can’t take control thank god), so seeing different forms of plurality and how to approach systems with them is helpful as hell to me.
it’s my 31st bday at the top of the hour :3
