homebrewing our childhood wii 
we’re gonna end up with a funny setup because it has a broken disc drive. so we’re gonna use the home brewed wii to play GC games bc GC games are expensive to buy, and then we’re gonna use childhood the wii u to play the wii games (assuming that has a working disk drive)

Its not something I’ve looked into too deeply myself, because I don’t have a wii anymore, but I believe you should be able to load up an sd card with games and play them on a wii that way, with the right additional modifications, even if the wii u also lacks a working disc drive

My sis bought a Wii and the way to play was with a SD card having the jailbreak setup and an external HD with the pirated games. The only use we got for the disc drive was for Wii Sport and New Super Mario bros which came with the console.
Its been ages so unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the software used in the SD.

oh yeah we’re gonna use an HDD to run the games. yeah honestly just putting everything on the HDD instead of setting the Wii U up to play the disks we do own is a lot more simple LOL. i think i just wanted an excuse to use the disks :P.

The console already came with all of that set up, because that’s the kind of sale people make when no one can afford the games.
My DS was similar, though I remember I used EDGE on the SD Card.

Hey, just because my computer can run dolphin and pcsx2 doesn’t mean I still don’t buy gamecube and ps2 games from time to time, it just means I only buy the ones I really like or feel are important to me. It can absolutely be the same with a hard drive

Hopefully! Making ice cream from scratch is very fun, though sometimes it poses logistical questions afterward. It’s great to have your own tho.
