Looks like Mr. Cybertruck (or someone else) moved it. I’m pretty sure where I placed it wasn’t private property, but I’m gonna put another one and some of the others a bit closer to the main street. This first one was just for spite.

if you’re in NYC, show up for the DSA rally against NYU Langone for doing the same thing:

On January 29th, Donald Trump signed an illegal executive order that attempts to ban gender affirming care for youth under the age of 19, an attempt to detransition all trans children in the US. Despite this order being illegal and unenforceable, NYU Langone is one of the few hospitals in the country that has begun withholding life-saving healthcare for trans children.

It is an outrage that NYU Langone’s leadership is failing to stand up for some of its most vulnerable patients. Join us for an emergency rally Monday at 6:30pm to demand NYU Langone’s CEO Robert Grossman reverse his decision.

This policy makes NYU Langone directly complicit not just in the Trump administration’s dangerous assault on trans people, but also in its attacks on all of our bodily autonomy, our healthcare system, and our human rights. In case CEO Grossman needs a reminder: executive actions do not have the authority to override the U.S. Constitution, federal statutes, and established legal precedent. Donald Trump wants to divide and weaken us by going after our marginalized and vulnerable neighbors, hoping that we’ll go along. That’s how he thinks he can gain power. We need to defend our rights to make sure they are not taken away. We need you with us.

Democracy is in grave peril, but it is not dead. Fascists depend on convincing us to give our power away and fall in line, that the fight is over and we lost. And while we must be clear-eyed about the threat, we must not do the fascists’ work for them by giving them powers they do not have. Trump wants to govern as a dictator, but he has the slimmest possible congressional majority and a grossly unpopular agenda. Winning an election with 49.9% of the vote (of those who voted) does not make him a Dictator for Life and does not make Project 2025 the law of the land.

The truth is that political power resides in many places — from local to state to federal. To stave off the fascists, we must tap into that power in every corner of our country. We must organize ourselves to block their attacks, break MAGA’s political strength, and build a winning majority coalition of our own. Leadership in this moment must come from regular people, not just politicians. Elected Democrats will need our encouragement, support, and cajoling to find their spines and fight back. Elected Republicans can and must break with MAGA or be held accountable for the harm they cause. This guide outlines concrete strategies and tactics that collectively will help us limit harm, win in 2026, and throw MAGA out in 2028.

and today’s good news is brought to you by Heads Up News, which recounts many of the ongoing legal challenges to all of these insanely unlawful and unconstitutional executive orders. i think you’ll find the legal capacity of the broader #Resistance is remarkably large, and that’s going to be quite helpful:

But as dire as the situation is for civil servants, they have allies they can turn to. A large network of progressive advocates, good-government groups, and labor unions is stepping up to help, offering advice to embattled workers about their rights and their options and connecting them with attorneys working pro bono.

A broad coalition of civil society institutions and organizations has launched Civil Service Strong, a website full of resources for federal workers, including how to appeal a personnel decision with the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) and a Q&A on workers’ rights.

Protect Democracy has posted a series of missives to civil servants, the latest one helping workers understand the “deferred resignation” offer, which the group describes as “an offer of questionable legality — accompanied by thinly-veiled threats about what things will be like if you don’t leave — under a coercively-short timeline.”

The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) has published an FAQ on the resignation offer, and is cautioning employees not to take it, “because President Trump may not even have the authority to make such an offer, and federal workers who resign may not get paid.”

The Partnership for Public Service – a group singularly devoted to supporting and improving public service – is holding a “federal employee explainer” webinar series. Upcoming topics include “What are my rights as an employee?” and “How might my benefits be affected.”

anyways, have some protests. there have been a lot of them all over the place and it’s pretty cool:

I try not to post in here because nobody needs to hear about the panicked movements made by the government entity my company is contracted under.

I do need to share that just yesterday somebody absolutely vandalized one of the bathrooms with their shit.

My job is preparing for the worst and just asking to prepare for further attempts at sabotage.

I am Deeply curious as to the motivations behind the bathroom vandalization
Its easily the least effective and grossest methods of protest and i just wanna know Why they did it
Also How

Well for starters it’s most likely an employee probably upset about the recent going on policy wise.

We expect more attempts of retribution as disgruntled folks return to onsite work.

Upper management is very keen to find who did this
