AAAAAAAAAA
FANCY SEEING YOU HERE
and with that, I believe all games that matter have finally escaped the WiiU
pouring one out for star fox zero. you were unloved before you were born.
very exciting though. I know basically nothing about XCX or really any Xeno game but it’s the -blade that has me the most intrigued.
I have to finish XB3 before I can let myself buy another of these…
Im so fucking hyped for new story content. I wonder if they’re going to tie it in with the rest of the series somehow…
I’ve got some ideas for how that could go down…
I’ve got a lot of thoughts on this but they all boil down to “I’m so excited to play this for real this time”, after giving it a hard DNF when it first launched and then a tentative hiatus when I got a little sick of having to play solo earlier this year. Excited to come back to it, and finally finish this time
I’m so excited to see this is coming out. I loved the mech design in xbc3 and I’m hyped to play a game with such a reputation as this one.
The mech designs in XCX are much more traditional compared to XC3, for the most part, though they are still pretty cool.
YESSSSSSS FINALLY
God I can’t wait to see people coming from the normal Xeno- games discover the weirder aspects to how this game is put together.
OH SHIT
I feel like I should probably try out a different class this time around, when I played earlier this year I made a beeline for… uh… the one on the bottom of the tree, that uses photon sabers and psycho launchers, because I’m a fan of laser swords and support classes, and once I started leveling it I really got into the melee combo thing it had going on. Hoping we get expert mode as well, so that the somewhat eclectic level curve doesn’t stand out so much, and to help with leveling up those alt classes.
Yeah I think I went for photon saber + assault rifle in the endgame? Had a solid combo repertoire. Gonna aim for the sniper class first this time around I think.
rip to affordable space adventures I guess…you were too good for this fallen earth
People are saying the voice at the end of the trailer sounds like Logos in both English and Japanese dubs and I’m entering my attic and tacking up photographs on the walls and connecting them with red string about this
Xenoblade all: The Trinity Processor was definitely on my short list of ways they could hint at a connection to the mainline timeline, and I don’t think it even necessarily needs to be the “same” Trinity Processor, just like… that timeline’s version of it, probably incomplete (though I might want to review the last portion of Future Redeemed to see if the timeline might be comparable there; 2050-somthing feels a little early for it, but it also feels super early for building multiple colony ships that are able to escape an ongoing war, and its also possible that it just… wasn’t specified at all, in FR, or if not the Trinity Processor, then Klaus.
Besides that, I think The Conduit would be an easy way to set up a connection as well, and a much more direct one at that, since we know so much less about it except for its miraculous properties (Whatever it did to Earth, exactly, its wild enough that I don’t think its impossible it could show up in another universe, especially when it disappeared at the end of XB2 without much explanation, aside from speculation from The Architect).
While I might not have finished Xenoblade X, I am fairly spoiled on a few things, and I understand that the aliens are a sadly underused aspect of the world, so I’d really love to seem some stuff from them in this bonus story as well.
And now for the further speculation using Xenogears and Xenosaga (mostly Xenosaga tbh) info… I’m also wondering if this cloaked figure might be closer to a figure like chaos, Mary, and Wilhelm, as a more direct and natural manifestation of the collective unconscious, perhaps related to Mira directly a la the Telethia (Either directly, or perhaps indirectly in that something about Mira is just… different)
I think it’s the master of masters
Yeah, actually I don’t think it sounds like Logos tbh. Whatever it ends up being I hope it makes less sense and leaves us with even more questions.
WE’RE SO BACK
