sorry to necro this thread (even though it just shut down last month) BUT i do have alternatives! i didn’t use 123guestbook myself but i know plenty of people who Did, and most of them have moved to one of three places:
atabook, made by dimden of nekoweb fame, which is a very good all in one function on its own website
ayano’s comment widget, which utilizes google forms/sheets for any page on your website
or
html comment box, which is what i use, also can be put on any page on your website

I use html comment box for my site too! Simple set up and someone did a mini guide on how to make the html comment box adjust to the style to your page (I haven’t done this myself yet though. mostly because i’m too lazy)

omg thank you for this!!! id been thinking about really wanting to get a guestbook back, definitely looking into these three and throwing one on when i next update my site.
