Fighting Games!

Every other clip ive seen on twitter has been some wacky change. It’s apparently very polarizing

I’m here to nark about fighting games way too much whooooooooooooo lives anywhere remotely close to eu or doesn’t mind like 4 rollback frames (especially xrd, I’m genuinely hungry for the game rn after getting 2nd in a localish beginner/intermediate bracket)

More on topic tho that dbfz patch looks ASS I can’t believed they quadrupled down on the shit that nobody I know liked (I also don’t like the look of it)

I’m EU as fuck, can do some Xrd–probably not today, though lmao, it’s closing in on midnight for me

i came back around on that DBFZ patch after playing some, it’s funny as fuck. is it balanced well? no i don’t think so but trunks getting to jump-scare grab you and kill you instantly off sparking is fantastic. fuck it make it a party game LOL

I am not in the eu but im used to playing people with meh connections most of the time.
what games do you play? obviously xrd but what others

My hidden agenda is to find people to get really into uni2 with btw

As of right now I play uhhhhhhh:

Gbvsr, xrd, dabble in uni2, assorted old games like +r

Basically as long as it’s not street fighter or tekken I’m probably at least interested lmao (dbfz bucks this trend)

I have played too many games but here’s a quick top 3. Been thinking of writing a little overview of my games and why I think they’re neat on Wordpress.

  1. Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness
You hear about Mecha. Capcom’s first attempt(!) is a shockingly forward-thinking, simple on the surface game. Only 4 buttons (Light, Heavy, Boost and Weapon), short but fairly damaging combos, and universal super inputs tie it together. Boost is a dash button and air dashes, double jumps, and free flight (like Sentinel, etc. in the Marvel games) are all options

  2. Karnov’s Revenge
For my money I’d recommend this over any version of Street Fighter 2. Might be the first game with chain combos? Most of the cast is really strong (sorry Ryoko fans). It’s a NeoGeo game so the sprite work and music is top-notch, and moves are stupidly quotable (double german).

  3. Samurai Shodown V Special
This game is rich in one word. It’s a game that’s less technical but heavy on decisionmaking. Everything you do is important. You can meditate to trade your Rage bar to build up a time slow mechanic that you can activate at low health (the more you meditate, the earlier). Activating time slow is throw invulnerable. You can roll under attacks and special cancel the roll. There’s pursuit attacks. It rules.

Playing xrd for the first time in 2+ years was rough but fun lol

folks, Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection is out and I’ll be playing X-Men: Children of the Atom cuz tag games are hard

Tag games get easier when you think of your teams like a voltron. Are the parrs come together to make a whole. Im not sure if ill get the collection, but i should play more MvC2 on fightcade.

MvC games are fun to just push buttons in. MVC3 was like that and now I’m finding MVC1 and 2 are like that

most games are like that if you have teh right mindset

They added Juggernaught glitch back to MVC2 huh.
