I do note care if you play gacha games, I do not care if you like them, I don’t care if you spend on them. However, if you have a sizable voice in media please do not recommend them to your audience. And if you have even the slightest bit of an addictive personality, STAY AWAY FROM THEM AND THIS THREAD.
that said they do exist and can be discussed, so do so here. thanks!
Agree for real. I think Dragalia reached a good natural conclusion for all of my whining that it’s gone. I just wish they went the Capcom route and gave us a Dragalia Lost Redive OFFLINE or whatever.
I also only played FEH for like, two days, got Lyn and stopped lmfao. Pretty sure that was my first gacha experience actaully.
yeah I was 90% playing FEH for Lyn and Ike ngl. even after I quit I kept checking in for those hot new Lyns and new Ikes. most of the designs are… bad, tho. :/
yeah genuinely shocked how ass they were. i only liked the lyn ones retroactively because of that one artist on twitter that only draws lyn whose name i’m forgetting. they were doing a lot of the heavy lifting lmfao
holy shit i COMPLETELY forgot that i’d played feh despite never having played a fire emblem game before LOL. i remember easter chrom.
praying to any deity that will listen that they do this for arknights when it eventually ends (which doesn’t seem to be any time soon, thank god, but). i adore the story for the most part and the characters but i just Can’t Really Recommend a gacha game due to the reasons stated in the op LMAO
i also played a smidgen of dislyte for/with a friend but while the designs were fine (and a lot more varied in skin color than p much any other gacha out there) i found the story/gameplay dogshit boring unfortunately.
anyway, have a pic of the doctor from arknights (whom i’m cosplaying at the end of the month and doing a costest for soon >:3) being Planted
they were all such baddies. you can tell that this game was way too generous tho because i have all of them and i don’t remember EVER spending money on this game lmfao
e: sorry it’s not offline, it runs off a private server so you can even still do the co-op and stuff, which is the meat of the game. like having a tiny lil ffxiv in ur pocket for raiding whenever you want
I might check this out tbh! even with the knowledge that nothing else new will come, it’s a game worth experiencing imo. the high level fights were actually kinda fun which like. I don’t think I can say about any other gacha I’ve ever played LOL
eta: OH SHIT WAIT U CAN STILL DO CO-OP? sign me up
this is a big part of why most gacha games just don’t hit like dragalia did: active gameplay. as a purveyor of goop, i like to play my games, not stare at them. too many gachas are auto-grind, auto-play, auto-quest-fests which like. at that point i could just play an idle game that doesn’t wanna drain my wallet u know?
i think that’s why arknights caught on with so many people too, like you actually gotta play that game (and even be good at it lmfao)
fr fr! any gacha game i’ve ever become actually invested in was one with gameplay (rhythm games, then I had a Cookie Run: Ovenbreak phase, which is a genuinely pretty good endless runner) but Dragalia was my favourite to just pick up and play for 30 mins a day.
