Excellent title from Zitron on this one. Not sure if anyone else here reads his blog but this one is a great entry.
in b4 the confusion to note that Zitron means the guy in the title of that play, not the programming language/game engine
Newsletter’s pretty good. A lot of the time it’s kind of the same thing, which isn’t even unreasonable because he’s generally right and a lot of the time it comes down to “the thing I said was happening is continuing to happen”
I don’t read all of their newsletters because of how stacked with info they are, but I do keep them on my bookmarks because of how stacked with info they are
I weirdly assumed this was about the game engine before I clicked thru.
definitely will tag this one to read later!
No this was absolutely my first assumption. I was thinking it was a bit of a swerve from his usual fare haha
it’s not weird, Zitron should’ve known better lmao
solid read. it has me thinking about something else I read somewhat recently on the concept of seasons with regard to one’s own work and productivity…and, well, I do think eventually the dream of endless summer will come crashing down. I only wonder what the winter will look like, and who will actually suffer in the real and metaphorical cold.
I check in every month or so on this newsletter, he typically makes very salient and well sourced points. Big fan.
I’m with you Wren, the vibe shift has occurred and I think the next decade(s?) is going to be a very rough time across the world.
Thanks for pointing this out; I had a startle. :3
oh my god yeah you literally already pointed this out. I read this post like. four times and couldn’t parse it until just there now LMAO.
Oh right yes the title is about the Beckett play not the game engine lol
At first I thought you meant Zitron was the name of a game engine I just hadn’t heard of
