Whatever bug I had is finally starting to chill out, thankfully. Iām probably still going to take today off from work though, because I can and itās their fault Iām sick in the first place. 
Thereās a pretty important deadline Iām supposed to hit and I might have to get some work done over the weekend as a result. RIP but whatever

Mineās going ok so far. Trying to get back in the habit of going to the gym, itās been slow and tbh I genuinely just do not enjoy it. Lots of stuff that sets off sensory alarm bells (loud music, difficulty finding clean towels, etc) and I usually just end up angry and feeling shitty about myself.
Completely feel this, if youāre looking for recs I highly recommend checking out āLiftoff: Couch to Barbellā itās a book by a lady that is very gentle and kind to people trying to get into the gym. Got me into the habit and gave me less anxiety about the gym overall

I didnāt sleep too great but Iām excited for the new cohost compost ohc. Used to do these things weekly with some friends (āmidi mondayā, we called it, on an IRC server I can no longer remember the name of offhand) and Iāve got some new tools to experiment with

Stoned to make my nerves shut up (except it seems we got a sativa wax this time and itās making my back and legs spasm a bit which is better than my normal pain but still uncomfortable and stressful), chilling on the couch, heated blanket, cat in my lap completely zonked. Average day for me, wish I was feeling up to being at my desk so I could play video games.

Doing my best. Still got a big hole in the wall/ceiling and one unusable bathroom; waiting for the contractors to call back.
In my journey to upgrade to play Dragonās Dogma 2 I found a bizarrely marked down pre-built desktop (from ~$1450 to ~$650) being sold open-box at a nearby Best Buy so Iām driving over there later to investigate.

Oh hell yeah hope itās up to snuff!
Last night ruled had a small dinner with a friend and her friends then showed off the MiSTer to everyone.
Let my friend experience the N64 Bangai-O as well as Sin and Punishment now that I have a dongle for OEM N64 controllers. They all made a wonderful beef stew. We then went through some assorted shmups and we later traded off between levels of Mega Man 8 for Saturn to show off that core.
Today I plan on doing some unpacking but the highlight is checking out my local retro game store. If Iām lucky I get to see the shop cat, sheās a seal point Siamese just like my cat. My goal is to acquire a Saturn multi tap if itās not too much money.

As for a Saturn multitap, what I might want is too rich for my blood even with store creditā¦ They got regular Saturn multitaps for $50 but I dunno
They got always have cool stuff I donāt exactly see myself going out of my way to acquire but just nice to see them

We won 1-0 over a formidable and persistent Pittsburgh, El Paso lost 0-1 after conceding a penalty to a mediocre-looking Hartford Athletic, and Phoenix is current losing 0-1 after giving away an own goal to Birmingham, currently with 8 minutes left to play (stoppage time). This has been a great opening weekend.

Iāve spent my morning trying to fix my modded Switch after my partner accidentally system updated it. I think Iāve mostly got it back working again but damn itās gotten a lot harder to do than it originally was.

@DunnyBoy pretty cool they have a DQV figurine, woah. We donāt have many āmom & popā places left where I live. thereās one way up in boulder and a tiny tiny one way down the street. i should go back one of these days, they gave me a free DBZ post last time I went lol.
@gardencoffin nice job getting it fixed! i have an OG model and yeah itās a pretty big pain in the ass.
Thatās the big thing about this place in particular. Itās quite literally a mom and pop place run by an older man and his wife out of a converted home. Thereās like 2 other highlights if I were to drive into Portland, but a majority of retro game stores here are local chains that ask for too much money for anything.
