the translation is godawful but it’s so fucking good, literally just match-3 astlibra i’ve already played it for like 3 hours we’re so fucking back

God, the original puzzle quest was so good. Then every third gacha game tried to do it with microtransactions and did it worse.

I should play Puzzle Quest again.

without going into any actual detail at all:

  • a frankly unhinged (positive) plot that just keeps on giving
  • combined with pure endorphin hack’n’slash gameplay for sickos by a sicko
  • combined with the sort of lovable jank you can only get from an eccentric 1 person project

To add to everything @saya said: I am someone who loves gameplay systems and astlibra is jus systems: the game. An ouroboros of mechanics that feed into each other. Gear skills, the sphere grid-ass leveling, getting materials for new gear, over and over again

havent played astlibra myself but have watched it some and i deeply respect its sickos energy, bought this almost immediately purely off that respect. wasnt fully sure from the first couple early treacherous trips down the road if this game was gonna work for me but once i got to the town and all the rpg npc dealings and a party member and my match-3s started snowballing off their skills i am fully in this rules
