theres a pokemon tcg game you can play on your phone now. it’s basically like pokemon go but they’ve replaced locations and catching stuff with booster packs and tcg matches, in other words in case you need a new game that’s heavy on:

You can make decks and highlight your favorite cards in display case type things. You can play against computer decks or against real players but they haven’t implemented trading yet

The first time we saw an ad for this I was convinced it was third party AI nonsense. I’m surprised to see it isn’t, and even more surprised the ad was so low quality because of it.

Just a few more guys before I should be able to claim the original 151 at least. As long as Charizard packs will play nice.
You get 2 free packs a day, and it’s a mix of classic and newer ones in the base pack like… collection. You can spend hourglasses you earn from missions to speed up the pack unlock timer.
You can play the TCG either against players or NPCs. It’s a stripped down version of the regular game, so no Prizes, first to 3 KOs wins, bench is smaller, energy is generated for you.
It’s been fun as a nice stopgap game when I’m just waiting for something. Fire off a quick game testing a deck I built against the computer and cracking packs when I can.

Oje nice thing is that you can send all your friends likes on their showcases by going to the community showcase page. Just lines up your friends stuff to send them those shop points. Much better than going into each account like I did for a few days when I started lmao
