Trying to get into more rockin’ west african stuff. Most of what I’ve heard out of the region is mostly stuff like Sierra Leonean palm wine music which is fun but not quite the sort of stuff that I really feel, y’know? This, though, is the sort of stuff I live for. I don’t know too much about Super Djata Band other than they were Malian and while they were playing throughout the 70s, their work was released on recordings only in the 80s according to discogs, and by 1987 it seems they’d broken up.
