Saw Miriam Makeba referenced in passing the other day which reminds me of a song she performed I like. It’s a Xhosa song associated with stick-fighting rituals. The intro to the song isn’t quite literally the equivalent of Michael Buffer, but in context it serves a similar purpose. See translation here
