Short but banger emo song I like
this is probably one of my favorite music videos of all time lmao
icon, legend, the best to ever do it, etc.
Apparently this one has had a bit of resurgence lately, it’s been playing on the radio at work for a while and Wikipedia says it’s been in some recent ads. I used to listen to this song obsessively on repeat on a CD we had when I was little and I got a spring in my step the first time I heard it on the radio again recently, all-timer.
LET’S FUCKIN GOOOOOOOOO
Learned about Suicide from a philosophy youtube channel I watch fairly infrequently who likened their approach to drum machines and synthesizers as analogous to aspects of Deleuze’s philosophy, in particular rhizomes. One of the first bands self-describing as “punk”, and having more than a air of industrial about themselves as well
Fuckin love this one. It’s like if The Animals had bocchi therock-levels of anxiety
Turns out the anime about the girls driving the train through a future japan facing threats of zombie attacks from extremely high-power cell phone signals has a banger opening theme
Randomly got recommended this last night and ive since listened to the album its from a few times and im obsessed. The production and songwriting are off the charts.
Space Guitar is one of those songs you listen to and you think “oh that’s why Frank Zappa was like that”
this cover of one of my favorite vocaloid songs, Shiwa (Wrinkles)
(this song always makes me tear up LOL )
here’s the original if u want subtitles qwq
I’m gonna be CORNY ON MAIN now
I just got home from a social interaction that left me, emotionally, at 0 MP (…family stuff. The details don’t matter. But overall positively! Just draining.) Biking home, this is what I listened to and I was close to fucking BAWLING IN PUBLIC processing that shit.
The strength of Octopath in general to me is that it’s, like… just a series of character moments. The plot barely matters. I don’t know if I could recall half of the character storylines if I cared. But Castti no-selling a scene that’s essentially a buildup to a boss fight by going “no, shut the fuck up, we’re saving this man now. We can be enemies later.” lives RENT FREE in my head.
In that way, it’s kind of the equivalent of an impressionistic painting?
Anyway, the music in 2 is so much better at selling these quintessential character moments that in the first one. So just… infusing myself with Castti in a moment of need unironically helps me both with getting it out there and with picking myself up after.
I want someone to record the titan boss music from sonic frontiers in this style. I’d do it myself but I don’t have a pennywhistle
