No but for real, the only thing you put on the line with a roadmap is your reputation, and your reputation only matters to people that are informed. The majority of any given audience is not informed.

So to them, it’s essentially a free resource they can spend on making things look like they have more value. And who cares if people like me never touch a WB game as a consequence lmao

Yeah like…you have 200 people playing your game. At a certain level of development budget the cost of pulling the plug is way, way less than the cost of shoveling more money into the furnace for relatively nobody.
