It means butterfly! It also uh. Per the developers themselves, “looks like ass” when transliterated into English. Alternate moniker it is .D.

I stopped playing bug fables right before the final boss about a year ago and im finally getting around to playing it again
it’s a lot of fun

just met Emmrich in davg and good god i know who i’m romancing. that peepaw is insanely fuckable. sorry

I will also vouch for trials, my first time playing it was on emulator at least a decade before it was known as trials in the west and it blows secret out of the water.

I will say you may wanna look at some party/class guide before you start. I think about every combo is viable, but some are easier than others.

Pretty sure rose has the ToM remake, isn’t quite the same but frankly better imo. That team is 2/2

There are a handful of scenes I like better in the original Trials but on the whole if you’re gonna play one, give the remake a go

Her boss sequence was great, but man, there’s no Souls mechanic more frustrating than losing experience after dying twice. I hope we can finally move past trying to apply everything FROM came up with in random games during the next years.

It’s genuinely frustrating how many Fromsoft game elements get copied without even a moment of thought as to why (or if!) they’re any good.

I will say i dont find it quite as annoying in 9S as in other games of its ilk, just because you keep banked ‘levels’ that you havent used even if you lose progress to the next, and each level isnt that much time lost, but yeah hard agree. ‘Cant progress’ is frequently its own punishment, espec against a boss, and im kind of tired of the loop of ‘keep dying because too weak, cant get strong cuz keep dying’ that can kill the fun of a game

Ive been saying this about from soft for years, but im a certified soulsborne hater

Ugh I hate being sick. Work has been draining all my cognitive energy (despite really not working a mentally taxing job) so I can’t get into anything that I want to play, but I also can’t focus and react well enough to make any progress in Castlevania 1, I can’t even match the progress I was making on day 1 with it. I think I might have been able to at least start Ever17… but I misplaced both my Vita and its charger until just earlier today, so I didn’t. At least I’m over the hump, at this point its mostly just a runny nose. We’ll see if I can beat Frankesntein once I’m done with work

Oh, I absolutely do that in every game with that mechanic, if I lose the liquid money then I can still cash out, but the mechanic still makes me unnecessarily peeved.

also, omitted from that post: the worst part is that I lost it after the boss fight, to some of those cool ninja enemies
