Youtube Let's Play channels recommendations?

I’ve been catching up on WoolieVs catalog and have been wondering about other channels that might offer similar playthroughs. Preferably that have at least 2 people hosting (I’m not a fan of solo hosts, in video or podcasts), and that aren’t 100% jokey, preferring to take the games seriously while making fun of it occasionally, not being in a whole character the entire time.

I only started using Youtube around 2021-ish, so there’s no obvious suggestion to me. Although I’d prefer to not watch VTubers (I started because of them and burned out quickly)

I like Run Button but you are probably aware of them already. their Digimon World LP is a lot of fun.

honestly i just watch reruns of TBFP LMFAO

John Wolfe might fit your criteria but he’s solo. Snapcube definitely on the funnier side but also solo. But I like her because she’s so deeply invested in everything she plays, there’s not an ounce of cynicism, i strive to match her energy nowadays.

Everything feels like it pivoted to streams.

I have heard good things about runbutton but that’s just cause I listen to FatT. I just don’t really watch that style of stuff these days. TheRunawayGuys lost my interest years ago (and then That Other Thing happened) and I just haven’t been watching that sort of stuff. I’ll put on RTVS or Simpleflips sometimes for background noise or if they’re doing something really weird/cool, but those are far from Let’s Plays

OH actually I just remembered a couple, Secret Sleepover Society (2/4ths of Drawfee, Jesse and James married couple energy), and also Onsta will often have guests on

You guys heard of wife city gaming? I’m not much of a video LP guy but I know a bunch of people who like 'em.

(Video link further below)

ProZD has a let’s play channel called ProZD Plays Games where he plays games with a co-host, usually just one but in some series they have other guests

He also used to have another one called Press Buttons ‘n’ Talk with Alex Mankin but during the pandemic they stopped being able to record together and then had a falling out at some point so that one is pretty much just an archive, they have several years of series you can watch though

Added a few to my list, thanks for the recs, folks

I am not, I can’t overstate enough how I do not watch Youtube and know nothing about people who do things there.

Considering how I’ve been digging into WoolieVs, I might go all the way around back into SBFP/TBFP eventually. I’m aware of Snapcube, and I’m aware people find her rad, I might give a try, but solo streaming/playing always felt so odd to me.

TBF, if they are edited streams uploaded to YT, I’m okay with them as well.

Are you sure this is the right name? FreeTube can’t find it

They’re on YT and Twitch as just “WifeCity” so I think I may have misremembered the correct name:

Oh, so it was the spacing, somehow. Gotcha, added.

definitely chip (cheezum) and (general) ironicus

i watched their mgs lps (2-V+pw+mgrr) and they’re FANTASTIC, some of the older ones haven’t aged super great bc they’re two cis dudes in the aughts but they’re Fine now

seconded, they’re probably the most venerable pair in the space

I imagine that they are, but personally I’d like to keep a distance from SA related folks. I was aware of them beforehand.

Tried a little of WifeCity tonight, unfortunately they don’t really fit my criteria of taking the game seriously, at least from the Valkyria Chronicles stream. They’re funny, sure, but I’m really into people who are interested in the game and the story, even if its a goofy one.
