A forum! Wow! If you haven’t used one of these in a while, it’s helpful to start here and introduce yourself!
I’m @barquq! I made this place! I have a lot of forum experience, but most of it is before I turned 20. I spent a very long time on starmen.net, quietly embarrassing myself with an entirely different pseudoname that you will never learn. I was also on Gaia Online and a Redwall RP Forum many moons ago.
I like good-ass video games, good-ass music, and apparently being a community organizer. I hope you enjoy yourself here, and remember:
First reply…bit of a showing up early to the party vibe, but I’m happy to be here! I’m @idid (same on cohost) and I too yearn for the forums. I love reading, cities, and talking to strangers. I’ve got Gravity Rush on my Vita, but I’ve yet to play…this might be the push I needed.
Ahoy-hoy! I’m @Modren (same on Cohost), big fan of the games even though I’ve only played the first. Whenever I pick up a used PS4 down the road GR2 is my first stop. I’m excited by the idea of a dedicated forum, hoping this becomes a cool community!
My forum experience dates back to the 00s. I spent a fair amount of time in some MegaMan Battle Network forum, the GameFAQs forums, Beast’s Lair (one of my custom banners is still in the rotation as far as I know), and a couple other places. Used to do some forum RP too, until the guy running it passed away suddenly.
My current project over on Cohost is a Let’s Play of a noted JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure fangame. Frankly, I don’t know why I thought this was a good idea. Maybe I’ll also post updates here; a forum is a better medium for it anyway.
I watch a lot of anime (not those anime, though) and play a fair amount of video games. I’m currently looking forward to Unicorn Overlord and losing my mind over whether or not my PC can handle Dragon’s Dogma 2.
hi, im @catgirl-real (same as on cohost). ive never played gravity rush and ive somehow never used a forum either, but this seems cool so i guess im here to learn. i dont really get up to much cause im busy trying to graduate while neurodivergent, but i started writing a ttrpg recently so ill see how that goes. i like xenoblade, in stars and time, and friends at the table (though im really behind on palisade).
nice to meet you all
Jama here, same on Cohost. Most of my formative forum experience came on a Guitar Hero fan game (Frets on Fire) forum for several years. Been a bit since I used it though.
I have not played Gravity Rush yet, but heard good things about both games. Otherwise I will probably blather about video games or tabletop stuff.
Hi! Im Carrie, carrieanne on cohost and transdike on tumblr. I lurked on random forums back in the day but was never a Poster. I really like books, especially scifi/fantasy, or anything with lesbians. I enjoy video games but unless its minecraft then i havent played much lately. Lately Ive been trying to do more creative writing, which was somwthing ive only ever done idly in the past.
I havent played either gravity rush games, just admired them from afar.
Hi all, you can call me Mir. My cohost @ is gardencoffin.
I’m a jack of all trades with a lot of different hobbies thanks to my ADHD. The stuff I’ve gone the deepest on are fighting games and MMORPGs, but I dabble in a lot of different game genres as well as drawing, pixel art, video editing, and streaming (usually for FG stuff).
I haven’t been on a forum for a long time- I used to lurk the Something Awful forums but disliked the larger community’s vibes. I used to be an administrator of the Kirby’s Rainbow Resort fansite forums from 2003-2010ish. Regardless, I’m tired of microblogging so returning to a forum sounded like a refreshing idea.
I’ve finished Gravity Rush on Vita, and the 2nd is sitting on my PS4 waiting for me to play it, which I plan to at some point. I love those girls.
You can call me Dylan (@DunnyBoy) over on cohost I am @VideoGame
I play maybe too many video games. Woefully addicted to Pokemon and other weird little guy series. I have yet to play Gravity Rush, but I still owe a debt to a friend to check it out.
I have recently found a love of Hong Kong action movies and the like.
I have yearned to return to forums and as shy as I can be, I am committed to following through as an active participant.
Hi I’m eganworks! I’m also @theworksofegan on Cohost. I’m a video editor + motion graphics animator by day, and a blogger at theworksofegan.net by night.
Some of my favorite games are the Megaman Battle Network series, old Star Wars PC games, and Picross 3D: Round 2. I keep track of this stuff pretty consistently on Backloggd.
I’ve always been a forum lurker, but I’m trying to train that out of myself in my 30s.
I’ve never played Gravity Rush, but it looks very cool.
Hey, hi, howdy y’all, I’m SparkFox, or Flynn, whichever works for ya. @FlynnAndTonic on cohost, though I lurk more than I post, heck I lurk a lot in general . Last experience with forums was a bit over a decade ago with gaia online.
Work keeps me pretty busy while I fight to get it to be normal (I refuse to resign to it never getting to that point).
Outside of work keeping me busy I enjoy videogames, movies, shows, and some anime, gradually trying new food places and making time for friends. If you have any recs for anything hit me with it and I’ll give it a fair shake.
Still need to get around to Gravity Rush 2, but maybe if releases I’m interested in slow down
Ahoy, I’m Joy! I’m ahoyitsjoy on Cohost. I grew up on forums and I miss them a lot!
I love video games, and in particular, I play a lot of indie games and narrative-focused games. Some of my favorites are: FFXIV, Disco Elysium, Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns, Alan Wake 2, Citizen Sleeper, and Spiritfarer.
I also like watching anime, reading, cooking, and baking. I kind of flit around, obsessing about one of these at a time due to ADHD.
Unfortunately I will never play Gravity Rush due to a crippling fear of heights.
