I’m Katja! They/them(/she), a very large catdragon, and apparently a lawyer, somehow.
You might recognise me from a bunch of places — FA, Twitter†, Tumblr, the Fediverse, Cohost†, VRChat, and Bluesky, roughly in chronological order — though my contact info can be found on https://rarf.zone/. Though seeing as this place isn’t, like, mostly furries, there’s also a good chance you don’t!
It’s been many years since I’ve used a forum, strictly speaking, in any serious capacity, so I’m not sure what I’ll end up talking about most here? I’ve definitely tended to post about extremely lefty politics, Canadian law, public transit, my ongoing conlanging and worldbuilding project, long-nonexistent chairlifts, and esoteric furry and therian-adjacent stuff.
Hey all. I’m PolarBair (Jordan, but using my real name online feels weird), same on other platforms (yt, twitch, twitter, bsky). I’m from the Toronto area.
I love fighting games and the way they’ve helped me find common ground with people around the world. I’m also getting more into anime (Kinnikuman the GOAT). I appreciate good food, but who doesn’t lol
Cohost definitely taught to chill on-line so I’m having a much better time than when I was really active on twitter ~2 years ago. I also miss forums so it’s good to be here.
Howdy folks. Had been meaning to jump on this forum for a while, but then forgot the name of the place and had trouble finding it again. I’m dismallyOriented (call me dO or whatever abbreviation you like). Chinese-American trans guy, based out of the DMV, marine biologist by trade.
If you saw me on cohost, it was probably through a Marine Science Monday post or some other similar effortpost. My second ever internet community was also a forum, on Failbetter Games back in like 2013-2015. It’ll take me a bit to get back into the swing of things, but I hope to actually be able to talk to folks and get settled here.
Thanks! This is my cat, Touya (short for “[Brooklyn accent]: Ey, what’s it to ya?”) She’s 7.5 years old and the biggest and softest cat I’ve ever met (that’s a lie, I think there was a prof in undergrad who had an Even Larger one, but everyone knows their cat is the most cat).
She has Lore but I will probably need to go dig up whatever pet-related thread exists here for me to really get into it and also share a bunch of photos. I love this dweebus so much, she’s my first ever cat.
Hello! Overall, we’re a small plural system1 of transgender furries in our early 20s. We’re not quite 1st time forum users, having hung out near-daily on - of all places - the Chucklefish Forums (a company with. a lot one could say about it) for about 1 summer as a teen, and then not joined another once since.
Interests include TTRPGs, music production, rhythm games (clone hero specifically), various other neglected creative pursuits, linguistics (very casual), short fiction, longer fiction, collecting RSS feeds of various webcomics, video games (various), etc.
We have an old neocities, and will probably link it in bio if we get back to doing anything with it.
- Mel (it/its exclusively, trans woman)
1: Plural they, y’all, etc. preferred when no individual specified
I’m a black trans woman who has been kicking around the Internet far too long to still enjoy it wholeheartedly but also far too long to go back to being offline.
I am coming here from cohost, mainly because I see a lot of people who brightened my time there and that seems like a good sign (plus they’re not all white which is an even better sign).
I am a hobbyist jill-of-all-trades game dev, and my current main project is a reality programming text adventure named Quoll. I also like sports like soccer and baseball (and football on the past) but I haven’t really had much chance to follow or talk about that recently.
Hey! Happy to see you here too; we didn’t interact all that much but I did like seeing your posts
I suppose this makes it the second time now I’ve rafted off to a more POC-friendly offshoot of a previous internet haunt. A mixed second nickel, but a good one all the same.
Hi everyone! I’m @Belarius (same handle as cohost). In addition to my meager contributions to eggbug scholarship, I am also a research scientists in psychology by trade. I’ll be over on cohost until they lock the doors, and am also exceedingly rusty at forum use, so I’ll probably lurk for a bit and get a feel for the space. That said, feel free to reach out! I’m excited recognize a lot of PFPs/handles, and look forward to chatting going forward.
hi this is sudocurse, same name from cohost! i too was on Gaia Online once. oh god, i just found my old gaia profile. lol. lmao. if only we would have had css crimes back then.
