It’s little plastic food containers! Without their lids and upside down, lol. I have them all over. At first I was trying to look for proper plastic display stands for elevating things but couldn’t find anything, but then I had a flash of genius at the grocery store.
I’ve got 4 MGs and an FM built! Another MG in the backlog too. MGs are definitely my favorite type of kit to build but I also get a lot of HGs because a lot of the most fun designs only ever get HGs, and you get a bunch of funny variations that I like in HGs too like clear colors and the 7-11 strike freedom.

It’s funny, as a teen I had more figures (a bunch of FF7:AC figures, one of the KH2 Sora figures) but I donated those away in time. These are the extent of it now, with another one on order (and the aforementioned Journey statue). Honestly this makes me want to collect them more–and also cry as I spend too much on the FFIX Bring Arts from years back–but I don’t have space

it is, i don’t care about the games but the robot designs are really good. this is the only one but i’m excited about that lego horizon game, not because of the game itself but that it means they lego-fied the rest of the robos which means we’ll probably get more kits soon

(sorry for the awful pic lol) we’re on our anniversary trip with our wife so we splurged and bought 4 lego sets today. the unicorn was bought along with like $40 worth of sweets by a sort of childish alter who was very exited to be in a big store with lots of tasty snacks and a cute lego set. the insects kit, the ninjago set, and the shadow set (bought especially for our wife) were all bought by me when we went out to a store again to buy the toilet paper the other alter forgot to buy in her excitement.
needless to say i did not remember either T-T.

Put together Dark Magician Girl. Super fun build! Really straightforward, no real trouble parts. My first Kotobukiya kit and my first human kit, interesting to see the difference in joints compared to my Bandai gunpla kits. She’s so cute and really nice and decently big! Like, bigger than a figma. Definitely gonna pick up more Kotobukiya kits in the future, I’m eyeing the animal girls in their Arca Nadea line, probably gonna grab one of their misc Hatsune Mikus at one point, and gonna consider some of their Megamans.

Really fun build, I just love MGs. Top heavy bugger though, and folding out everything at the end was real fiddly. But I love how he looks.

this minecraft build i did was absolutely delightful, probably my favorite lego build i’ve ever done as an adult. it’s up there at least, himeji castle was awesome too. incredibly intuitive, satisfying, and i never got frustrated. there are so many cute details, like the minecart you can’t see pictured under the waterfall, which has a cave. also the back is a crafting block!

my goal for this summer was to finally put together the HG calibarn and here she is!! not gonna lie, had a few issues with the build this time around (which may or may not have been me just not reading the instructions properly…) but the end product is absolutely worth it. next weekend i’d like to panel line and throw on the first set of water slides and i’m currently waiting on some custom UV water slides for the really cool blacklight effects. the WFM kits are so, so good 
also dang i gotta throw some collection photos in here later

I loooooooooooove the designs in Gwitch I’m so cranky that they haven’t given us any more FMs and no announcement of even a token Aerial MG. I was a bit disappointed that Calibarn is all-white because I think it’s a bit boring, although that gave me an excuse to paint mine, but I love the rest of the design. Gonna be so hype when MG Calibarn comes out in 30 years.

I’ve got a few kits to build, but I want to figure out a good display solution before I get them built and don’t know where to put them. Pains of small apartments 
Right now I’ve got a Kotobukiya Armored Core Rayleonard 03-AALIYAH Supplice, an udon truck, and a Motocompo kit to build.
Anyone got recs for a case or anything that could sit on a shelf (ideally avoiding adding another cabinet) to minimize the need to dust? Also want to get something tiered to elevate some figures I’ve got that would get lost in the mix.

i find it really weird that the gwitch line hasn’t seen an MG release yet, especially with how beloved the aerial and calibarn were. i heard the full mechanics aerial is nice, thinking about getting it at some point but i’m also burnt out on putting together the escutcheon shield after the OG aerial, lfrith, and now calibarn lmao
