Song of the day

“Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing [REBORN]” - Set It Off

song lowkey sucks but i put the original version of it on an oc’s playlist almost 10 years ago so the fact that they redid it is Neat.jpg

“for frank forever” - piglet

discovered this lad on spotify (sorry) and im lowkey in love?

I’m not sure I can call this my favorite song (My taste is simply too fluid and eclectic to single out one song as a favorite) but I do think I can call it my favorite music video. Its such a visually interesting gimmick, and the imagery is so compelling, and the way he’s dancing both fits the visual style perfectly, and also is just really interesting in its own right

A two day long Todd in the Shadows binge brought me to “Your Woman” for the first time. This song is literally 26 days older than me and yet it sounds like it’s from at least a decade after. But maybe I just don’t have a great fix on 90s music on account of not forming conscious memories at the time.

Also now I’m just obsessed with White Town as a band/artist.

Oh my god Your Woman, that’s such a banger. I really need to get into White Town’s other stuff, that episode was such an interesting look into that song
Speaking of bands and artists I need to look deeper into, this one is actually one of the few that I do legitimately only know one song from, because I found them via spotify back when I used that, and never took that next step of listening to the full album its from

Oh Sidney Gish, I think I heard a single track of hers (“Where the Sidewalk Ends”) from a live music spot on Late Stage Live (youtube-based leftist late-night show). I guess have a Second Track from her

I think I found this band via one of Google’s old free album weekend deals, back when they had Google Music (Which I will never forgive them for axing, I lost a significant amount of my library to that decision, and youtube music isn’t even a better app for listening to music), and this has always been my favorite track from it. I’ve actually got a decent amount of different artists I found via free album/single promotions, I found Iron & Wine because Starbucks used to have a similar thing going on, and there were little business cards with download codes for Grace For Saints and Ramblers on them, not to mention all the bands I found via Noisetrade…

fellow early Linkin Park sickos, if you haven’t heard this yet you should:

been stuck in my head for days

Fair warning that this song is extremely horny, but I like how playful it is and also the music video brings me a lot of joy. Shawn Wasabi good.

This song probably wouldn’t be my pick for this band, but I feel it would be unwise to put in an embed that’s just a painting of a topless woman. But this one is probably my favorite from this album, I just wish it were longer

I think about this song a lot even up to this day lol

It’s hard to explain just how clever and good the lyrics are in english (even though they have a translation on the video) bc the word play only exists in spanish. It’s so fucking good and savage lol

Damnit I keep forgetting this thread exists, I gotta work on a backlog. Off the top of my head, I know I haven’t used Autoheart, AJJ, Bass Drum of Death, Fleet Foxes, Grouplove, or any of the many many Irish and Canadian folk artists I listen to

New cheekface single
I guess this breaks my streak of never repeating a band, but I’m willing to accept that (It doesn’t hurt that I actually have used some of the bands I mentioned in that last post)
