Was talking about this with my mom yesterday I can just drop mine off at the library after taking my time with the 8 million amendments on the ballot in Colorado this year lmfao
It’s genuinely, sincerely ludicrous that this hasn’t been the standard for like…I don’t know, since mail existed? Like what the fuck are we even doing.
Disenfranchisement. We’re doing disenfranchisement.
Pain finally subsided, so maybe i can try laying down to sleep again.
My brain: NoT JuSt AnY ToOn~
Guess not
Do you still get a sticker for mail in ballots?
yes! they send it as part of the package and they also send mine digitally
anyways good morning it’s 4am and the power is out on our whole block (street lights and all) so this is not an ideal start to a busy day. we have to leave at 7am for an event today, and my mom being on oxygen woke us both up
scrolling through circus stock photos for a drawing of a friend’s clown OC and that’s me on the ladder doing a great and amazing job and being rewarded with treats
here’s a book that just came out which should be on your radar: American Teenager: How Trans Kids Are Surviving Hate and Finding Joy in a Turbulent Era by Nico Lang
Enter their book-length nonfiction project American Teenager, out October 8 from Abrams Books. Over the course of a year, Lang embedded themself in the lives of eight trans kids and their families for two weeks at a time, trekking from California to West Virginia and nearly everywhere in between, condensing each visit into a chapter. The result is an incredibly intimate, varied look into the lives of American trans youth, from their worries about not being able to get top surgery before prom to the joys of finding home in a queer summer camp to the bittersweet feeling of leaving one’s home state to pursue futures that would otherwise be impossible.
Oh I am making the biggest eyes possible at this book.
I PASSED
BEEP BEEP MOTHERFUCKERS ANOTHER QUEER TAKES THE WHEEL
(Congratulations)
they say queers can either do math, cook or drive. joke’s on them now I can do 1.5 out of 3
Yeah
Hang on, what? Who’s been saying queers can’t cook?
I know it’s just a joke but this is the first time I’ve found a variation on it that put me so thoroughly outside the intended audience. What do they mean queers can’t cook
The oil drum one is so. I love weird shaped ones.
Most of the really fun shapes were launching on Thursday and Friday and I wasn’t planning to take time off to see them, but I got most of the ones today. A couple of the funnier designs are still in the ground right now, and it’s not clear if they will launch or not based on conditions (wind has picked up a bit)
don’t tell them i can do all three or they’ll confiscate my card
ugh, do not wanna go to the police station to argue about a ticket
