Thinking again about the plugin that just exports your entire Vault as a website, complete with table of contents and stuff. Didn’t check to see how it handled images, but it seems neat to use as the like “Publishing Vault” for your stuff.

Finally scanned through it, and the Dashboard++ thing looks interesting. I probably underestimate the power of just having a nice layout for certain things. I think I’ll try it out–adding a CSS snipped isn’t a very tall ask.

Attempting to add a Digital Garden to my neocities using the “Export to HTML” community plugin. The hard part is going to be getting it to link back to the main site.
Maybe I’ll just make the whole site out of Digital Garden, we’ll see. I need to tinker with it more. Maybe find a way to make it look not like the default colors. Maybe it’ll change if i change my Obsidian theme.
The digital garden plugin has like a bazillion themes available in the settings
If you’re using obsidian publish then you do things a little differently by publishing a publish.css file
Does digital garden have anything to let you upload canvases or just notes?
Don’t think it does canvases now (But neither does publish lol)

Dumped a tester canvas into my folder I explort to see what happens and lmao, it just gets a “Page Not Found” error when I try to access it from the side bar of other blog posts.

If I directly open the Canvas HTML… It works. But then I can’t access any of the regular text pages.
So you can upload Canvases, but it’s gotta be it’s own separate section? Or you upload them separately and link to them and try to figure out navigation back to the main table of contents? (This might be related to the issue below)
Edit: now I can’t get it to link from one post to another. Hm.
Edit the fourth: Using the Digital Garden plugin with vercal, and no that can’t do canvas, but canvases can still be exported to HTML with the Export to HTML plugin.

Sadly, I’m not an expert at Obsidian, but I do like using it simply. I don’t use backlinks or the web of connected things except for my TTRPG Prep vaults, because I can link connected areas together with [].
Here’s my Numenera Hexcrawl vault.
Using just Folders and new Files, I can treat it like a regular word document, except everything is available on the side instead of needing to be separate files. If I want to cross reference, I can just put the title of the page in the double brackets (or you can even link to other Headings, but I don’t remember it off the top of my head) which is helpful if i want say, “Encounters in this area” on a different page.
Since it uses markdown, once I learned how that worked, from Discord and Cohost, I was able to quickly apply effects too, using # for headings, and the various number of * to get italics and bold.

For posting to the web I have the Digital Garden community plugin and then got a thing through Vercal/Git to post to. It’s nothing fancy but it works.

could i ask for some troubleshooting help? VERY new obsidian user (like, only started using it seriously Today) and i’m trying to install this but it’s NOT working and crow and i cannot for the lives of us figure out WHY. it looks real nice and i’d love to use this set up but it just straight up Won’t Work for me. tried redoing it from a whole new note, tried c/ping it wholly anew, tried cssclass AND cssclasses, tried turning off all my plugins and… nothing. idk what i’m doing wrong 
crow ALSO found someone having the same problem i am, but no solution unfortunately… any thots?

yeah I am stumped on this one. tried installing it my end and it worked fine, even with the cssclass/cssclasses discrepancy described by the other user. but si just can’t get it to work. :(
eta: NVM WORKING NOW LOL. computers are a little magic /neg

WHAT I ENDED UP HAVING TO DO was recopy and paste the css again and save it and idk why THAT worked even though i’d already done it but I’ll Take It LOL
